Resolution 33-98 Approving Special Law

WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Minnesota has enacted Laws of Minnesota 1997, Chapter 231, Article 2, Section 56 attached hereto as Exhibit A (the “Act”) establishing the Virginia Ambulance District which includes the City of Mountain Iron, Minnesota (the “City”); and

WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 645.021 requires that special laws be approved by the city(s) included in the Special Law; and

WHEREAS, the City of Mountain Iron, St. Louis County, Minnesota is located within the jurisdictional limits of the Virginia Ambulance District.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mountain Iron, St. Louis County, Minnesota, as follows:

The Act is hereby ratified and approved.

The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution with the Secretary of State in and for the State of Minnesota.
