RESOLUTION NUMBER 32-98

RELATING TO THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY IN AND FOR THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN IRON, MINNESOTA

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the “City Council”) of the City of Mountain Iron, Minnesota (the “City”), as follows:

Section 1. Findings.

1.01 The City created the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Mountain Iron, Minnesota (the “HRA”) pursuant to the authority of Minnesota Statutes � through 469.068 (the “Act”) in order to exercise housing, economic development, and redevelopment powers within the jurisdictional limits of the City.

1.02 The City intended the HRA to exercise its housing, economic development and redevelopment powers under Minnesota Statutes � through 469.179 relating to tax increment financing (the “TIF Act”).

1.03 The Council now wishes to reaffirm its delegation of housing, economic development and redevelopment powers to the HRA pursuant to the Act and the TIF Act, specifically including but not limited to, the creation of Tax Increment Financing Districts Nos. 1 through 9 in the City and Redevelopment Project No. 1 in the City.

Section 2. Authorization.

2.01 The HRA is hereby authorized to exercise on behalf of the City all housing, economic development and redevelopment powers under the Act and the TIF Act.

2.02 All actions taken by the HRA with respect to establishing, modifying and amending Redevelopment Project No. 1 and Tax Increment Financing Districts Nos. I through 9 in the City are hereby ratified and confirmed in all respects.

2.03 Control, authority and operation of Redevelopment Project No. 1 and Tax Increment Financing Districts Nos. 1 through 9 and the control, authority, operation and creation of any future redevelopment projects undertaken under the Act and any future tax increment financing districts created under the TIF Act shall be in and by the HRA and the HRA shall, on behalf of the City control, authorize, operate and create any current and future economic housing, economic development and redevelopment projects within the jurisdictional limits of the City.
