Resolution 32-01 Accepting Quote

WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for quotes for the proposed improvement of Mineral Avenue between Mud Lake Road and Butler Road in the City of Mountain Iron, by installing water and sewer, quotes were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following quotes were received complying with the advertisement:

Christensen Construction $11,303.64

Utility Systems of America $15,284.50

WHEREAS, it appears that Christensen Construction of Mountain Iron, MN, is the lowest responsible quoter.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN IRON, MINNESOTA:

1. The Mayor and Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Christensen Construction of Mountain Iron, MN, in the name of the City of Mountain Iron for the improvement of Mineral Avenue between Mud Lake Road and Butler Road according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator.

2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all quoters the deposits made with their quotes, except that the deposits of the successful quoter and the next lowest quoter shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
