Resolution 27-00 Receiving Report
RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Council action, a report has been prepared by Benchmark Engineering with reference to the improvement of various streets throughout the City by either reconstruction or overlay, and this report was received by the Council on July 5, 2000, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MOUNTAIN IRON, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $700,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 7th day of August, 2000, in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall at 6:30 p.m. and the Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Mountain Iron will meet in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on August 7, 2000, to consider the making of improvements to various streets throughout the City by either reconstruction or overlay, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 429.011 to 429.111. A list of Streets under consideration is available in the Office of the City Administrator during normal business hours. The area proposed to be assessed for such improvements is abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. The estimated cost of the improvement is $700,000. Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at this meeting.
