Resolution 19-98 Ordering a Hearing
RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution of the Council adopted April 6, 1998, a report has been prepared by Benchmark Engineering with reference to the improvement of 8th Street between Park Drive and a line approximately 2400 feet west of the intersection of 8th Street and County Road 109 in the City of Mountain Iron by installing water and sewer mains, and this report was received by the Council on April 20, 1998, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MOUNTAIN IRON, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $275,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 4th day of May, 1998, in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall at 6:30 p.m. and the Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
