Resolution 16-06 Accepting Report

RESOLUTION NUMBER 16-06

RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution Number 13-06 of the City Council adopted May 1, 2006, a report has been prepared by Benchmark Engineering with reference to the improvement of those Street identified in Exhibit A by construction, reconstruction and/or overlay, and this report was received by the City Council on May 15, 2006, and

WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MOUNTAIN IRON, MINNESOTA:

1. The City Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $1,700,000.

2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 5th day of June, 2006, in the Mountain Iron Room of the Community Center at 6:30 p.m. and the City Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.

DULY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THIS 15TH DAY OF MAY, 2006.
