Resolution 08-98 Ordering a Hearing
RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted February 2, 1998, a report has been prepared by Benchmark Engineering with reference to the improvement of 16th Avenue West between the centerline line of 13th Street and the Southerly Corporate Limits of the City of Mountain Iron by Road Reconstruction, Alignment and Drainage Improvements, and this report was received by the Council on February 17, 1998, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MOUNTAIN IRON, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $135,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 2nd day of March, 1998, in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall at 6:30 p.m. and the Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
