Resolution 01-01 Setting Public Hearing
RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Council action, a report has been prepared by Benchmark Engineering with reference to the improvement of Marble Avenue between Main Street and Locomotive Street by overlaying, and this report was received by the Council on January 16th, 2001, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MOUNTAIN IRON, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $15,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 20th day of February, 2001, in the Mountain Iron Room of the Community Center at 6:30 p.m. and the Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
Duly Adopted by the City Council this 16th day of January, 2001.
