Mountain Iron Planning and Zoning Commission
November 23, 2020
Acting Chairman Barb Fivecoate called Planning & Zoning meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with the following members present Steve Erickson, Margaret Soyring, Barb Fivecoate and Jerry Kujala, Zoning Administrator. Absent members: Steve Skogman and Jim Techar.
It was moved by Fivecoate and seconded by Soyring to approve the minutes of the April 13, 2020 meeting.
The motion carried with Skogman and Techar absent.
Administrators Report:
Members received a copy of a letter sent to Jason Gellerstedt by the City Attorney for setback violation for a structure on his property.
Discussed the newly constructed Buffetta home in Ann’s Acres. A Certificate of Occupation will be issued for a single family dwelling. There has been an issue whether it is a single family or multi-family dwelling. The property is zoned for single family dwelling.
An equipment refurbishing company is looking at purchasing the old Tasty Bread Store and Garage. It is a permitted use. It was discussed by the commission to ask them to fence in the vacant lot where equipment would be exposed to the public.
At 7:19p.m., it was moved by Erickson and seconded by Fivecoate to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried with Skogman and Techar absent.
