MINUTES
MOUNTAIN IRON PUBLIC SAFETY & HEALTH BOARD
MONDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2016 10:00 a.m.
Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 10:04 a.m. by Chairman Al Stanaway. Members present were Al Stanaway, Gary Skalko, Steve L. Hunter and Steve Skogman. Absent: Brittany Chopp. Also present was Fire Chief Greg Chad and City Administrator Wainio.
Representatives of the Mesabi Humane Society were present to discuss their operations and their services.
The proposal from Anytime Fitness was discussed. Skogman moved and Skalko seconded to recommend approval of the Mountain Iron Fire Department Fitness Policy with the following addition: Upon notification to the City of a valid medical reason not to participate in the program or a firefighter relocates out of the area, the firefighter shall not be responsible for any future monthly payments. Final determination shall be made by the City Administrator. Motion carried unanimously.
Adjourn:
Motion by Skogman and supported by Skalko to adjourn the meeting at 10:48 a.m. Motion carried on a 4 – 0 vote. Meeting adjourned.
