The May 25, 2022, Parks and Recreation Meeting was called to order at 5:30 by Joe Prebeg. Members present: Jon Loeffen, Joe Prebeg, Steve Hunter, Dennis Benz, Casey Kitner and Arin Marks. Absent: Tara Lamourea. Also present Craig Wainio and Anna Amundson.
Loeffen moved and Marks seconded to approve the March 30, 2022 meeting minutes. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Forum. Sheri McGregor spoke regarding parking at the Wolf Park. Hunter moved and Kitner seconded to have the issue looked into. Motion carried unanimously.
Old Business. The South Grove Rec Complex Plan was presented to the Board. Issues to be addressed include parking, skating area and a skate park.
New Business:
Amundson made a presentation of what is going on with Merritt Days.
Officer selection. Hunter moved and Benz seconded to nominate Prebeg to serve as Chair. Motion carried unanimously. Prebeg nominated and Kitner supported to have Benz serve as Vice-Chair. Motion carried unanimously.
Kitner moved and Marks seconded to have the concrete at the pavilions at West Two Rivers repaired. Motion carried unanimously.
Next meeting will be June 29th at 5:30
Motion was made by Kitner and seconded by Loeffen to adjourn at 6:42 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
