The March 30, 2022, Parks and Recreation Meeting was called to order at 5:32 by Joe Prebeg. Members present: Jon Loeffen, Joe Prebeg, Casey Kitner and Arin Marks. Absent: Steve Hunter, Dennis Benz and Tara Lamourea. Also present Craig Wainio and Darin and Donna Johnson.
Introductions took place.
Prebeg moved and Loeffen seconded to approve the August 25, 2021 meeting minutes. Motion carried unanimously.
No Public Forum.
New Business:
Kitner moved and Marks seconded to recommend the advertisement for summer workers, coaches and umpires. Motion carried unanimously.
West Two Rivers Campground issues were discussed:
- Floors in bathrooms can become slippery
- Electrical system improvements
- Some type of air horn for a warning system
- Start one week earlier
- Goose control measures and cleanup on beach
- Beach sand is needed
- Stop sign by office
- Cash possibility and ATM
- Shirts and stickers
- Fish cleaning area
- Pavilion floors
- New countertop in office
- Other internet options were contemplated
Moved by Loeffen and seconded by Kitner to approve the caretaker agreement with the Johnsons. Motion carried 4-0.
Officer selection was discussed.
Motion was made by Kitner and seconded by Marks to adjourn at 6:15 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
