MINUTES
MOUNTAIN IRON PUBLIC SAFETY & HEALTH BOARD
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2018 6:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by Chairman Al Stanaway. Members present were Al Stanaway, Steve L. Hunter, Steve Skogman, Margaret Soyring and Margaret Ratai. Absent: None. Also present were Fire Chief Knapper and City Administrator Wainio.
Soyring moved and Hunter supported to approve the minutes of the January 31, 2018 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
First responders reported the number of call responded to and a need for AED’s. Fire Department noted its membership numbers are up and not many fire calls. Casey Kitner to be appointed as a firefighter.
Soyring moved and Ratai supported to recommend the purchase of a storage container and check the zoning. After discussion, both rescinded there motion and second.
Meeting with the fire department about a truck was discussed along with the Fire Department Budget.
Motion by Hunter and supported by Ratia to adjourn the meeting at 7:36 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned.
