Skating Rinks
The Mountain Iron Parks & Recreation Department – South Grove Skating Rink
Season: (Depending on weather conditions) December – March
Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00 – 8:00 PM and Saturday/Sunday 1:00 – 9:00 PM

Rink hours are subject to change without notice. The rink will be closed when temperatures and/or wind chill reaches minus 10º F or if there is a snowstorm or other severe weather conditions.
Please make sure an attendant is on duty before leaving children at the rink. For more information, call the Recreation Office at 218-748-7570.

DURING CHRISTMAS VACATION & SCHOOL HOLIDAYS, THE RINK WILL BE OPEN EVERY DAY FROM 1:00 – 8:00 PM
THE RINK WILL BE CLOSED ALL DAY ON CHRISTMAS EVE, CHRISTMAS DAY, NEW YEAR’S EVE, AND NEW YEAR’S DAY.

If you have a special outing planned, like a school field trip, outside of rink open hours, adult chaperones may fill out a volunteer application at the Recreation Office. All volunteers must pass a background check.
