Deputy Mayor Matanich called the meeting to order at 12:04 p.m. with the following members present: Carolyn Olsen, Stephen Skogman, Curt Piri, and Deputy Mayor Joe Matanich. Absent member included: Mayor Mitchell Brunfelt. Also present were: Craig J. Wainio, City Administrator; Jill M. Forseen, Municipal Service Secretary; Don Kleinschmidt, Director of Public Works; and Larry Nanti, Recreation Director.

It was moved by Olsen and supported by Skogman to adopt Resolution #45-00, Primary Election, (a copy is attached and made a part of these minutes). The motion carried.

It was moved by Olsen and supported by Piri to authorize a payment of $500 to the Range Recreation Civic Center for a Heavyweight Sponsorship of the World All Star Wrestling Alliance “Range War II” scheduled for September 23, 2000, with this being considered as a one time donation. The motion carried.

The Council discussed offering a scheduled bus service for the General Election with possible service at the Senior Center, Nichols Hall, and the South Grove Recreation Center for 10 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.

The Council discussed the procedures for applications for building permits and other applications submitted for the Planning and Zoning Commission review. The Planning and Zoning Commission requested that the applications be completed entirely before being considered by the Zoning Administrator and the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Council discussed the work being completed for the School District. It was the consensus of the Council that there is a lack of communication between the City and the School District regarding projects being completed and applications being submitted. The Council requested that this be discussed further at the September 18, 2000 meeting.

At 12:30 p.m., it was moved by Piri and supported by Skogman that the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried.
