MOUNTAIN IRON CITY COUNCIL
COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING
MAY 30, 2002
Deputy Mayor Prebeg called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Present: Councilor Matanich, Councilor Prebeg, Councilor Skogman and Councilor Roskoski. Also present was Rudy Schoolderman from ARDC.
The discussion focused first around the question of what are the main concerns and priorities the City Council members have.
The City Council then discussed what they felt would be the direction the City should take in setting priorities.
Finally, the Council started a discussion on what they felt at this point should be the priorities, with limited resources, where should investments be focused.
The discussion concluded with an indication that the Council would like assistance through the strategic planning process in the development of funding strategy for potential projects. Potential services for implementation would include identification and writing of grants, assist in the development of incentive packages, develop leverage with other entities.
Deputy Mayor Prebeg adjourned the meeting at 7:57 p.m.
