Meeting Minutes for May 18, 2000
MOUNTAIN IRON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Brunfelt called the meeting to order at 12:04 p.m. with the following members present: Carolyn Olsen, Curt Piri, and Mayor Mitchell Brunfelt. Absent members were: Joe Matanich and Stephen Skogman. Also present were: Craig J. Wainio, City Administrator; Judy Seurer, Accounting Technician; Don Kleinschmidt, Director of Public Works and Larry Nanti, Recreation Director.
The Mayor explained that the purpose of the meeting was to award the bids for kitchen equipment and chairs for the community center.
The City Administrator stated that the bids were opened at 10:00 a.m. on May 18, 2000 and the tabulations were as shown on the sheets presented (a copy of which is attached and made a part of these minutes).
Councilor Matanich entered the meeting at 12:06 p.m.
Discussion took place concerning the kitchen equipment bids. Staff recommended accepting the bid from JTS Deluca Co. in the amount of $57,973.68.
It was moved by Piri and supported by Olsen to award the bid for community center kitchen equipment to JTS Deluca Co. in the amount of $57,973.68. The motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.
Discussion took place concerning the bids for banquet style chairs for the community center. Staff recommended accepting the bid from Burgher Office under Bid Spec #2, MTS Model 596 Premium Chair, in the amount of $20,489.00.
It was moved by Matanich and supported by Olsen to accept the bid for 350 banquet style chairs for the community center from Burgher Office in the amount of $20,489.00. The motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.
At 12:15 p.m., it was moved by Piri and supported by Matanich to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried.
