Meeting Minutes for August 21, 2002
MOUNTAIN IRON CITY COUNCIL
COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING
AUGUST 21, 2002
Deputy Mayor Prebeg called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Councilor Matanich, Councilor Prebeg, Councilor Skogman and Councilor Roskoski. Also present were City Administrator Craig J. Wainio and Rudy Schoolderman from ARDC.
The discussion then moved into more detail of the various areas of the plan, Residential Development, Commercial/Economic Development and Community Infrastructure. Mr. Schoolderman and the City Council discussed the various aspects of the proposed plan.
Mr. Schoolderman then reviewed the project rankings and the funding opportunities available for each of the projects presented in the rankings.
Mr. Schoolderman then presented information on other services available from ARDC.
The City Council inquired as to the development of a housing study to going along with the proposed housing developments of the City.
Councilor Matanich left the meeting at 8:46
The development of a mission statement was not pursued and will be scheduled for a future date and time due to time constraints.
Deputy Mayor Prebeg adjourned the meeting at 8:57 p.m.
