Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 4:05 pm.  Members present: Peggy Anderson, Kathy Witzman, Shannon Petersen, Marcia Bergquist, NEW MEMBER Paula Satrang, and Library Director Anna Amundson. Absent: liaison Al Stanaway . Minutes of the January meeting were read. Consent Agenda and January minutes were moved by Peggy Anderson and 2nd by Kathy Witzman.

Communications: No communications. Public Forum: No Public Forum.

Director’s report: Great month again. Our kid base is growing. 15 this week for the afterschool reading program. A tough couple of weeks for Anna as Julie and Anne were out sick. No replacement as no sub to call in. We all agree a trained substitute is needed badly. Anna worked from open to close, things are piling up, programs need to be toned down, plans for changing out dated materials for new has been pushed aside, and the basement needs to get back in order. We tabled until March as we have been told the new city secretary would be trained to come in as a sub, as needed. This has not yet happened. A call-in sub is needed ASAP so Anna can continue with her plans for our library. Any programs that are scheduled need to have 2 staff scheduled in order to be successful. Family Movie Night is 2/13/2020 – Space Jam is the movie. Reviewed Director Report.

New business:  No New Business.

Open Discussion & Old Business: Ed Roskoski is coming to meet with Anna re: Newspaper scrapbooking. 2018 is at the library, and Carolyn Olsen will be bringing in 2019. A new reference data sheet is ready to be finished and hung in the library. Still in search of a 2007 yearbook. In March, we need to discuss who will be President/ Chair. I (Shannon) would also like to get a new Secretary as I do not have a working printer. I would take President if someone wants to take the Secretary spot.

Next meeting will be Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 4:00pm. Kathy Witzman called to adjourn at 4:55pm. It was seconded by Peggy Anderson.
