Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority

Meeting Minutes

May 16, 2018

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Barb Fivecoate at 5:33 p.m. with the following members present: Al Stanaway, Peter Zattoni, Barb Fivecoate and Andrea Wilson.  Absent members: Bob Voss, Mary Jacobsen and Sue Tuomela.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.

Zattoni moved and Wilson seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 4-0 on a roll call vote.

Wainio updated the board on the Iron Range Tykes project, hotel project, apartment project and Heliene expansion.

Fivecoate moved and Zattoni seconded to approve the purchase agreement with Iron Range Tykes and Gruba Enterprises.  Motion carried unanimously.

The board discussed the signage at the woodland estates and the open house at Woodland Estates.

Stanaway moved and Zattoni seconded to do anything the EDA can do to move Mr. Mason’s project forward.  Motion carried unanimously.

Stanaway moved and Fivecoate supported to adjourn the meeting at 6:21 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
