Regular Meeting Minutes
October 17, 2007

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by President Anthony Zupancich at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present: Anthony Zupancich, Andrea Wilson, Bob Voss and Alan Stanaway. Also present was Executive Director, Craig J. Wainio.

Absent were Allen Nelson, Barb Fivecoate and Mary Jacobsen.

A motion was made by Zupancich and supported by Voss to accept the consent agenda. Motion passed.

New Business;
The Development Agreement with Mesabi Land Company was presented a discussed. The consensus of the Board was that there is a need to develop a set of covenants for the development agreement similar to Unity Addition and to define the difference between modular and manufactured homes. It was the consensus to have representatives of the Mesabi Land Company at the next meeting

Voss moved and Wilson seconded to schedule a public hearing for the sale of property in the Parkville Industrial Park for the November 7, 2007 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.

Stanaway moved and Voss seconded to schedule a public hearing for the sale of property to Mesabi Land Company for the November 7, 2007 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.

Open Discussion:
The issue concerning a possible site for the expansion and relocation of the used auto dealer located on Unity Drive and County Road 7 was discussed. Wainio will research possible locations for the dealership.

Zupancich moved and Voss supported that the meeting be adjourned at 5:49 p.m.
