Regular Meeting Minutes
November 5, 2014
A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Tony Zupancich at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present: Mary Jacobsen, Bob Voss, Tony Zupancich, Barb Fivecoate and Andrea Wilson. Absent members: Jeremy Jesch and Sue Tuomela. Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio and Gary Cerkvenik.
Jacobsen moved and Voss seconded to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried 5-0 on a roll call vote.
Wainio update the Board on the status of the grant for the housing development, the status of the housing study, status of the development plan for the property west of Rock Ridge and on contacting Kohls.
Cerkvenik updated the Board on the possible new MIB High School, Rockies proposed brewery and the wind project.
Wilson left the meeting.
Jason Bowes was present to discuss a proposed Aquaponics plant and the possibility of placing it in Mountain Iron. Zupancich moved and Fivecoate seconded to have Wainio and Cerkvenik follow-up and meet with Mr. Bowes about the development. Motion carried unanimously.
Fivecoate moved and Voss supported to accept the 2014 audit proposal from Walker, Giroux and Hahne. Motion carried unanimously.
Jacobsen moved and Fivecoate supported to adjourn the meeting at 6:38. Motion carried unanimously.
