Special Meeting Minutes

June 28, 2016

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Tony Zupancich at 3:02 p.m. with the following members present: Mary Jacobsen, Peter Zattoni, Barb Fivecoate, Andrea Wilson and Tony Zupancich.  Absent members: Sue Tuomela and Bob Voss.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio and Alan Johnson from Benchmark.

Fivecoate moved and Wilson seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 5-0 on a roll call vote.

Wainio updated the Board on the new strip mall and other projects.

The Woodland Estates bids were reviewed.  Zupancich moved and Jacobsen seconded to award the bids for Woodland Estates to Mesabi Bituminous contingent on the City Council agreeing to partner with the EDA on the project.  Motion carried 5-0.

Fivecoate moved and Jacobsen supported to adjourn the meeting at 3:35 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
