Mt. Iron Board Meeting Minutes: October 12, 2016

Meeting called to order at 4:30, by President Carolyn Olsen.

Members present were Shirley Congdon, Kathy Witzman, Peggy Anderson, Sally Yuccas, Carolyn Olsen, and Shannon Petersen. Also present was city liaison, Al Stanaway.

Motion to accept minutes was made by Peggy and 2nd by Kathy.

Sally gave her directors report stated she very much enjoyed the MLA conference she attended in Duluth. Many sessions were offered and were informational. We also had discussion re: a possible I Pad or tablet workshop, to help people better understand them, Sally will check further on this. Sally will also try to book Ann Flaim to come and do another Medical/Health Talk. Lots of things went on at the library in September, they are outlined in her report Sally also wants to make sure all the legacy groups offered come to Mt. Iron Library, as people do enjoy them.

The Taste of Mt Iron will be taking place again this year on November 15, 2016 at the Community Center. Sally has asked the F.O.L & Tops group to help and also join. Sounds like fun. It was a huge hit last year and it looks to be a good function for our community.

Old business: “Our Quiet Room” in the basement is getting closer. The city has asked Do Bid to auction off the old cabinets. We will wait to hear from them.

No further business so the next meeting is November 9, 2016 at 4:30.
