PARK AND RECREATION MEETING
Wednesday, March 29, 2017
5:30 PM
The meeting was called to order by Jerry Kujala at 5:31 p.m. Board members present: Natalie Pankratz-Leff, Jerry Kujala, Steve Hunter and Joe Prebeg. Absent: Jerry Golobich, Tara LaMourea and Dennis Benz. Also present were Craig Wainio, City.
Leff moved and Prebeg seconded to approve the minutes from the February 15, 2017 meeting. Motion carried 4-0.
Hunter moved and Prebeg seconded to recommend to the City Council that it authorize the advertising for summer employees and coaches. Motion carried 4-0.
Prebeg moved and Leff seconded to approve the summer recreation signup form and programs. Motion carried 4-0.
Prebeg moved and Hunter seconded to recommend to the City Council that it dedicate the western baseball field at the South Gove Recreation Complex as the “Larry Nanti Field” and a sign be places indicating such. Motion carried 4-0.
The proposed archery facility was discussed, as well as picnic tables at the South Grove Rec Complex Pavilion, internet at the campground and online reservation system.
It was moved by Prebeg and Leff supported by to adjourn at 6:02 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
