Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority

Meeting Minutes

May 14, 2024

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Barb Fivecoate at 5:02 p.m. with the following members present: Peggy Anderson, Corey Nelson, Alan Johnson, Julie Buria, Kim Koebensky, Barb Fivecoate and Brad Gustafson.  Absent members: None.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.

Buria moved and Nelson seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 7-0 on a roll call vote.

Viking Coke, TIF Resolutions and Development Agreements, Enterprise Drive Northeast and Superior Fuel was discussed. 

Kootasca and Tapestry housing developments where discussed along with the TIF that is being proposed for the site.

Gustafson move and Fivecoate seconded to adopt Resolution Number 01-24 Property with a reversion clause.  Motion carried unanimously.  Board also discussed the site layout.

Gustafson discussed broadband efforts in the area.

Buria moved and Nelson seconded to adjourn the meeting at 5:20 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
