Mountain Iron Planning and Zoning Commission

Pro-term Assumed Chairman Jim Techar called the Planning & Zoning meeting was called to order at 6:30p.m. with the following members present: Margaret Soyring, Jim Techar, Steve Hunter Mayor Peggy Anderson and Jerry Kujala, Zoning Administrator. Absent members: Barb Fivecoate
It was moved by Hunter and seconded by Soyring to approve the minutes of the April 25, 2022 meeting as presented. The motion carried with Fivecoate absent.
Public Forum:
- Kevin Aubin, Butler Road, addressed the Board regarding a Variance Permit for not meeting the required setbacks for a garage, the public hearing for this is scheduled on June 27th
- Sheri Overbye, Butler Road, asked the Board if they could do anything about the parking problem at the Carpenter Field on Butler Road during games, she was advised to talk to the Parks & Rec Board
At 7:35p.m. it was moved by Hunter and seconded by Anderson to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried with Fivecoate absent.
