Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority

Meeting Minutes

November 14, 2023

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Barb Fivecoate at 5:00 p.m. with the following members present: Barb Fivecoate, Peggy Anderson, Corey Nelson, Joe Prebeg, Peter Zattoni, Alan Johnson and Brad Gustafson.  Absent members: None.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.

Gustafson moved and Prebeg seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 7-0 on a roll call vote.

Superior Fuels was discussed.  Lots west of Raintree for workforce housing and obtaining the scoring of the proposal were discussed. 

Prebeg moved and Johnson seconded for Fivecoate to serve as President.  Motion carried 6-0

Fivecoate moved and Nelson second for Gustafson to serve as Vice President, Motion carried 6-0.

Anderson was elected to serve as Secretary/Treasurer.

Prebeg moved and Nelson seconded to table the Phase II of Woodland Estates and possible funding discussion.  Motion carried unanimously.

Prebeg moved and Fivecoate seconded to proceed with extension of Enterprise Drive Northeast.  Motion carried unanimously.

Woodland HOA, Circle K, Viking Coke were discussed.

Fivecoate moved and Zattoni seconded to refer to the Parks and Recreation Board the possibility of a Splash Pad.  Motion carried unanimously.

Gustafson moved and Prebeg seconded to adjourn the meeting at 5:55 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
