Chairperson Jim Techar called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following members present: Margaret Soyring, Al Stanaway, Steve Giorgi, Barb Fivecoate, Zoning Administrator Jerry Kujala and Mayor Peggy Anderson. Lauren Buffetta absent
Moved by Giorgi, supported by Stanaway to approve the consent agenda and approve the minutes of the September 8, 2025 meeting. Motion carried Buffetta absent
Moved by Giorgi, supported by Fivecoate to recess the regular meeting and open the public hearings. Motion carried. Buffetta absent
The purpose of the public hearing is to consider a request made by Gerard Lanari or a Variance Permit. The Variance permit is for the construction of a building that does not meet the required 30 feet setback. The property is legally described as follows: Parcel Code 175-0071-00889 (should be 175-0071-01242) Address: 5471 Highway 7, Virginia, MN 55792

Moved by Giorgi, supported by Fivecoate to recommend to the City Council to approve the Variance for Gary and Linda Friedlieb. Ayes: 5 Nayes: 1 Motion carried. Buffetta absent.
Chairman Techar reported that he still has not received any communication from the City Attorney about the property violations that were turned over to him for litigation.
