Mountain Iron Planning and Zoning Commission
October 14, 2024
Chairperson Jim Techar called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with the following members present: Margaret Soyring, Al Stanaway, Barb Fivecoate, Lauren Buffetta, Mayor Peggy Anderson, Jerry Kujala, Zoning Administrator. Absent members: Steve Hunter
It was moved by Stanaway and seconded by Soyring to accept the Consent Agenda and minutes of the September 9, 2024, meeting. The motion carried with Hunter absent.
It was moved by Soyring and seconded by Buffetta to close the regular meeting and open the public hearing. The motion carried with Hunter absent.
- The purpose of the public hearing was to add conditional uses for Commercial and Industrial Zoned properties.
It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Stanaway to close the public hearing and reopen the regular meeting. Th motion carried with Hunter absent.
It was moved by Soyring and seconded by Stanaway to table action on the public hearing until the Commission receives the actual wording of the revisions. The motion carried with Hunter Absent.
- Members discussed the Superior Fuel property not having any permits and questioned the use of the property. It was the consensus that as many as possible attend the next council meeting to address these questions.
At 7:40p.m., it was moved by Fivecoate and seconded by Buffetta that the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried with Hunter absent.
