Mountain Iron Planning and Zoning Commission

September 8, 2025

Chairperson Jim Techar called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following members present:  Margaret Soyring, Al Stanaway, Steve Giorgi, Lauren Buffetta, Barb Fivecoate, Zoning Administrator Jerry Kujala and Mayor Peggy Anderson.

Moved by Giorgi, supported by Fivecoae to approve the consent agenda and approve the minutes with the correction that Friedlieb property is in Stoney Brook. Motion carried

Gerry Linari was present to discuss setbacks for a new building at Vern’s Greenhouse. He will be applying for a variance.

Kujala discussed garden sheds and stated a new home is being built in Unity 2 Addition.

Moved by Giorgi, supported by Fivecoate to adjourn. Motion Carried.
