PARK AND RECREATION MEETING
Wednesday, September 27, 2017
5:30 PM
The meeting was called to order by Jerry Kujala at 5:33 p.m. Board members present: Natalie Pankratz-Leff, Jerry Kujala, Steve Hunter, Gerry Golobich, Dennis Benz and Joe Prebeg. Absent: Tara LaMourea. Also present were Craig Wainio, City Administrator and Sally Yuccas Special Events.
Moved by Benz supported by Golobich to approve the minutes of the August 30, 2017 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
Kujala moved and Prebeg supported to forward the naming of the room in the Library to the Library Board for their review and opinion. Motion carried unanimously.
Yuccas updated board on Merritt Days. Hunter moved and Prebeg seconded to recommend that the City not approve funding for Merritt Days without a budget from the Merritt Days Committee a meeting with the committee. Motion carried unanimously.
Yuccas discussed the Halloween Carnival and the Board would like a recreation program report.
Benz addressed the rates at the campground including 6 seasonal sites at $400 each and ask them at the end of the season if they are coming back. 8 seasonal sites, site prices, open longer, firewood prices.
It was moved by Prebeg and Hunter supported by to adjourn at 6:35 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
