Mountain Iron Planning and Zoning Commission
September 9, 2024
Chairperson Jim Techar called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with the following members present: Margaret Soyring, Al Stanaway, Barb Fivecoate, Mayor Peggy Anderson, and Jerry Kujala, Zoning Administrator. Absent members: Steve Hunter and Lauren Buffetta.
It was moved by Stanaway and seconded by Fivecoate to accept the Consent Agenda and minutes of the August 26, 2024, meeting. The motion carried with Hunter and Buffetta absent.
Public Forum:
- Ed Roskoski reported that he talked to Mud Lake Road residents, and that they were not happy about big tanks on the Superior Fuel site
It was moved by Stanway and seconded by Fivecoate to hold a public hearing on October 14, 2024 to add:
- To ordinance 154.057 (c) and 154.028 (c):
- A non-permitted use on a temporary basis. The CUP shall specify the scope and duration of the use.
The motion carried with Hunter and Buffetta absent.
At 7:50p.m. it was moved by Fivecoate and seconded by Techar that the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried Hunter and Buffetta absent.
