Mountain Iron Planning and Zoning Commission
August 12, 2024
Chairperson Jim Techar called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with the following members present: Margaret Soyring, Al Stanaway, Lauren Buffetta, Mayor Peggy Anderson and Jerry Kujala, Zoning Administrator. Absent members: Barb Fivecoate and Steve Hunter.
It was moved by Stanaway and seconded by Buffetta to accept the Consent Agenda and minutes of the June 10, 2024, meeting. The motion carried with Hunter and Fivecoate absent.
It was moved by Soyring and seconded by Stanaway to direct Chairman Techar to write to Administrator Wainio to request Pat Green attend the August 26th meeting of Planning Zoning meeting. The motion carried with Hunter and Fivecoate absent.
- After a lengthy discussion with Councilors Prebeg and Roskoski present it is the consensus of the Commission to have Jerry Kujala set up a meeting with Administrator Wainio and Chairperson Jim Techar to discuss zoning issues for Superior Fuel building permit request and report back to the Commission at August 26th
At 8:25p.m. it was moved by Buffetta and seconded by Stanaway that the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried Hunter and Fivecoate Absent
