073025 PR Minutes
The July 30, 2025, Parks and Recreation Meeting was called to order at 5:30 by Brad Gustafson. Members present: Brad Gustafson, Kristina Hawkins, Jason Inmon and Dan Lind. Absent: Macy Saari-Nelson, Casey Kitner, Arin Marks. Also present Craig Wainio and Mayor Anderson.
Hawkins moved and Inmon seconded to approve the May 28, 2025 meeting minutes. Motion carried unanimously.
Public forum: Campground hosts described projector and screen for movie night and Storm damage. Young Belleville requested a new basketball court in the South Grove Park
New Business:
South Grove Recreation Complex was discussed including cost estimates and storage concerns. It was moved by Lind and seconded by Hawkins to go further one expanded building. Motion carries 4-0.
The South Grove Park concrete proposal from 3D Concrete was discussed. Moved by Hawkins and seconded by Lind the recommend the City Council move forward with the proposal. Motion carried 4-0. Also the Board discussed getting the lines professionally done.
Open Discussion:
New wood chips, loading the campground footage on the web site, which park to work on for 2027, estimate for Ann’s Acres Park Pavilion repair and to remove the grills for the Ann’s Acres Park.
Motion was made by Hawkins and seconded by Lind to adjourn at 6:14 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
