Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority

Meeting Minutes

June 11, 2024

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Brad Gustafson at 5:01 p.m. with the following members present: Peggy Anderson, Corey Nelson, Alan Johnson, Julie Buria and Brad Gustafson.  Absent members: Barb Fivecoate and Kim Koebensky.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.

Johnson moved and Buria seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 5-0 on a roll call vote.

Viking Coke, Northland Learning Center and Superior Fuel was discussed. 

Kootasca and Tapestry housing developments where discussed.

Buria moved and Nelson seconded to approve the Viking Development Agreement.  Motion carried unanimously.

Gustafson discussed broadband efforts in the area.

Buria moved and Johnson seconded to adjourn the meeting at 5:15 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
