Mountain Iron Public Library
May 9th, 2019
Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 4:06 pm. Members present: Peggy Anderson, Shannon Petersen, Kathy Witzman, and Library Director Anna Amundson. Absent: Al Stanaway, Carolyn Olsen, and Marcia Bergquist. Motion was made by Peggy Anderson, seconded by Kathy Witzman to accept the April meeting minutes (with a change in paragraph 1 from “February” to “March”).
No communication. No Public Forum.
Director’s report: Summer Reading Program begins June 3rd and runs through July 19th. We are gearing up for a busy summer. A library website will hopefully be up and running by fall. The library book sale will be next week, May 16th – 18th.
Old Business: Digital Sign – Make sure the school has been told that we will not be taking it. Anna will follow up with Craig Wainio. The new sign will be ordered in late summer (after the Summer Reading Program and city crews will install when they are able – before the “snow flies”. Saturday, September 14th is the Hall of Fame game for MIB. The library will have an Open House that day from 9am – 12pm for the community. Library Board members are encouraged to attend.
New business: No new business.
Next meeting will be Wednesday, August 14th at 4:00 pm. Motion by Shannon Petersen, seconded by Kathy Witzman to adjourn. Motion passed.
