MINUTES

MOUNTAIN IRON PUBLIC SAFETY & HEALTH BOARD

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25, 2018   6:30 p.m.

The meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m. by Chairman Al Stanaway.  Members present were Al Stanaway, Steve L. Hunter, Margaret Ratai Steve Skogman and Margaret Soyring. Absent: Steve Skogman.  Also present were Fire Chief Knapper, Tim Satrang and City Administrator Wainio.

Soyring moved and Hunter supported to approve the minutes of the March 28, 2018 meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.

Firefighters spoke to the shared services study.

First responders to conduct an inventory of AED’s, and discussed a Walmart grant.

Fire Department has seven fires, compressor has been installed and an inventory will be available at the next meeting.

AED inventory in progress.

Ordinance review to start at next meeting and be a standing item on the agenda.

Fire Department raise was discussed, Fire Department to come with the recommendation.  Control burns and Fire Department work nights were discussed.

Motion by Soyring and supported by Ratai to adjourn the meeting at 7:22 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.  Meeting adjourned.
