Mountain Iron Planning and Zoning Commission

April 22, 2019

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Steve Skogman.

Those Present: Barb Fivecoate, Tim Johnston, Steve Skogman, Margaret Soyring, and Jerry Kujala, Planning and Zoning Administrator. Jim Techar and Steve Erickson absent.

Moved by Fivecoate, supported by Johnston to approve the minutes from the March 11, 2019 meeting.

Motion carried with Techar and Erickson absent.

During public forum Rick Erickson of Mountain Iron, MN inquired about a variance for a carport on his property.

Kujala reported that there is a driveway in Unity 2 with no solid surface driveway.

There was a discussion about towers and Kujala said he would work on wording to revise the ordinance. It was also discussed that changes to the zoning map have never gotten to Benchmark to get the map updates as has been requested by the Planning and Zoning Commission several times.

Motion to adjourn at 7:35 p.m. by Fivecoate, supported by Johnston. Motion carried with Techar and Erickson absent.
