ORDINANCE NUMBER 03-97

AMENDING THE SLUDGE DISPOSAL SITE AUTHORITY ORDINANCE OF THE CITIES OF VIRGINIA, EVELETH, MOUNTAIN IRON AND GILBERT

THE CITY OF MOUNTAIN IRON DOES ORDAIN:

SECTION 1.  Sludge Disposal Site Authority has been established pursuant to the following ordinances:

1. City of Virginia – Ordinance 103A.
2. City of Eveleth – Ordinance 196.
3. City of Gilbert – Ordinance 1-90.
4. City of Mountain Iron – Ordinance 39.

The city council does hereby amend the title of the authority and the ordinance to Biosolids Disposal Site Authority.

SECTION 2.  All references to “sludge” in the referenced ordinances shall be replaced by the word “biosolids”.

SECTION 3.  Except as amended by this Ordinance the referenced ordinances establishing Biosolids Disposal Site Authority shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 4.  This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication in all participating municipalities.

DULY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THIS 15^th DAY OF DECEMBER, 1997.
