Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority

Meeting Minutes

March 21, 2023

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Barcb Fivecoate at 5:02 p.m. with the following members present: Peggy Anderson, Barb Fivecoate, Joe Prebeg, Brad Gustafson and Mary Jacobsen.  Absent members: Peter Zattoni and Alan Johnson.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.

Prebeg moved and Gustafson seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 5-0 on a roll call vote.

Wainio updated on the Country Kitchen site, Viking Coke, Heliene and Perkins Site.

Prebeg moved and Gustafson seconded to move ahead and explore the opportunity for a grant for Phase 2 of Woodland Estates.  Motion carried unanimously.

Jacobsen moved and Fivecoate seconded to move ahead and set up a meeting with Kootasca to explore housing opportunities.  Motion carried unanimously.

Jacobsen moved and Fivecoate seconded to adjourn the meeting at 5:59 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
