Regular Meeting Minutes

September 17, 2014

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Tony Zupancich at 5:38 p.m. with the following members present:  Mary Jacobsen, Bob Voss, Tony Zupancich, Sue Tuomela and Andrea Wilson.  Absent members: Jeremy Jesch and Barb Fivecoate.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.

Tuomela moved and Wilson seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 5-0 on a roll call vote.

Ed Roskoski spoke during the public forum.

Wainio update the Board on AT&T, Anytime Fitness and County Road 102.

The Board discussed the proposed development west of Rock Ridge, including possible access in the front and cost estimates.

The Board discussed the proposed housing project and the phasing of that project;  the consensus was to prepare an application to the IRRRB for funding. Also, would like to meet with Maxfield and a possible survey.

General Electric and Minntac were discussed during open discussion.

Tuomela moved and Voss supported to adjourn the meeting at 5:51.  Motion carried unanimously.
