Regular Meeting Minutes

September 04, 2013

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Tony Zupancich, at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present:  Andrea Wilson, Mary Jacobsen, Tony Zupancich, Jeremy Jesch, Sue Tuomela and Bob Voss.  Absent members: Barb Fivecoate.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.

Tuomela moved and Jacobsen seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 5-0 on a roll call vote.

Wilson arrived at meeting.

Zupancich moved to set up a rebate program for South Forest Grove property owners in the amount of $1000 upon completion of construction. Tuomela seconded.  Motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Ed Roskoski was at the meeting to discuss dump development and Minntac.

Voss moved and Tuomela supported to approve the application for assistance.  Motion carried unanimously.

Jacobsen moved and Tuomela supported to approve the Master Road Agreement between the City, the EDA and US Steel with regard to the new County Road 102.  Motion carried unanimously.

Zupancich moved and Jacobsen seconded to approve the easement agreement between the EDA and US Steel.  Motion carried unanimously.

Voss moved and Wilson supported to approve the release of Access Easement Agreement between the EDA and US Steel.  Motion carried unanimously.

Voss moved and Jacobsen supported to approve the Temporary Construction Easement with US Steel.  Motion carried unanimously.

The board was provided updated on Mr. Zattoni’s project, Ord dumpsters, the cemetery land, Schming and GE and IRRRB.

Zupancich moved and Tuomela supported to adjourn the meeting at 6:30.  Motion carried unanimously.
