Regular Meeting Minutes

May 20, 2015

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Tony Zupancich at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present: Tony Zupancich, Mary Jacobsen, Bob Voss, Barb Fivecoate, Sue Tuomela and Andrea Wilson.  Absent members: Jeremy Jesch.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.

Voss moved and Tuomela seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 6-0 on a roll call vote.

Wainio updated the Board on the status of the discussions with West Rock Ridge and Backup Power Sources.

The Board discussed the timeline, wetlands and financing for the proposed development west of Rock Ridge and the property between the clinic and the movie theater.

The Board discussed the County Road 7 housing development timeline, wetlands and grant application.  A possible agreement with White Pine Builders was discussed.

Tuomela moved and Fivecoate supported to adjourn the meeting at 6:05 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
