Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority

May 10, 2006

President Tony Zupancich called the Economic Development Authority meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present: Dale Irish, Bob Voss, Barb Fivecoate, Andrea Wilson, Allen Nelson and Mary Jacobsen. Also present was Executive Director, Craig J. Wainio

Jim Bymark from Fairview Clinic presented plans for expansion of the Fairview Clinic. 

A motion was made by Allen Nelson and supported by Barb Fivecoate to give the clinic a 60 day Right of First Refusal on the two adjoining clinic lots while they enter into a development agreement. The motion passed unanimously.

It was decided to ask attorney, Mary Skala, to the next EDA meeting.

Craig Wainio informed the authority about North Star Cable and Communications who want to enter into a development agreement with the city to purchase land behind United Electric. A motion was made to Mary Jacobsen and supported by Barb Fivecoate to support the project and continue working on a development agreement. Motion carried.

Resolution No. 03-06 Approving Amendment to Transfer Agreement was reviewed, which would permit Mountain Timber to transfer 20 acres rather then the original 12 acres. A motion was made by Barb Fivecoate and supported by Bob Voss to approve the Amendment. Motion carried. 

Craig Wanio informed the authority of other potential development projects. 

A motion was made by Barb Fivecoate and supported by Allen Nelson to approve the minutes of the April 5, 2005 meeting. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Allen Nelson and supported by Barb Fivecoate to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried by roll call vote.

A motion was made by Barb Fivecoate and supported by Allen Nelson to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. 

The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
