Regular Meeting Minutes

March 18, 2015

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Tony Zupancich at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present:  Tony Zupancich, Mary Jacobsen, Bob Voss, Barb Fivecoate, Sue Tuomela and Andrea Wilson.  Absent members: Jeremy Jesch.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.

Fivecoate moved and Tuomela seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 6-0 on a roll call vote.

Wainio updated the Board on the status of the Americinn lift station and West Rock Ridge.

Moved by Jacobsen and Fivecoate seconded to authorize Benchmark Engineering to move forward with the plans and specifications for the County Road housing development.  Motion carried 6-0.

Fivecoate moved and Jacobsen supported to authorize Benchmark Engineering to begin platting the County Road 7 housing development based upon concept D.  Motion carried 6-0.

Voss moved and Tuomela supported to keep the officers that same as 2014.  Motion carried 6-0.

Zupancich moved and Tuomela seconded to move forward with the development agreement, plans and specifications, funding and covenants, the same as Rock Ridge, for the West Rock Ridge Development.  Motion carried 6-0.

Open discussion took place concerning Culvers, Plaza 53, Anytime Fitness, Patio housing in Duluth and Kresback Insurance.

Tuomela moved and Fivecoate supported to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.
