Regular Meeting Minutes
July 17, 2013
A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Barb Fivecoate, at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present: Barb Fivecoate, Andrea Wilson, Mary Jacobsen, Jeremy Jesch, Sue Tuomela and Bob Voss. Absent members: Tony Zupancich. Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio.
A motion was made by Wilson and supported by Tuomela to approve the minutes of the June 5, 2013 meeting and approve the bills as presented. Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote.
Wainio updated the Board on the status of the County 102 project, the construction of the retention pond that the Calvary Cemetery property.
Voss moved and Tuomela seconded to approve the 2012 Audit as presented. Motion carried 6-0.
Cerkvenik and Carrol updated the Board on GE Building, Bio Diesel project, wind farm, legislative action and the solar plant.
The Board discussed the Eichorn’s request to purchase additional property. Fivecoate moved to sell the property to Eichorn’s for $17,600 and they have to fence it. Fivecoate withdrew the motion. Fivecoate moved and Wilson seconded to hang onto the property until the new County Road 102 is complete. Motion carried 6-0.
A motion was made by Wilson and supported by Tuomela to adjourn the meeting at 6:16 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
