Regular Meeting Minutes

July 15, 2015

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Tony Zupancich at 5:32 p.m. with the following members present: Tony Zupancich, Barb Fivecoate, Sue Tuomela, Bob Voss and Andrea Wilson.  Absent members: Mary Jacobsen and Jeremy Jesch.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio and Gary Cerkvenik.

Tuomela moved and Fivecoate seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 5-0 on a roll call vote.

Wainio updated the Board on the status of the discussions with West Rock Ridge, rock ridge, County 7 Housing Development and the former Gretas Gym property.

Voss moved and Tuomela supported to authorize further soil borings at the West Rock Ridge site.  Motion carried 5-0.

Under open discussion, possible sources of funding were discussed, IRRRB, DEEB Minnesota Housing.  The project with the IRRRB was discussed.  Contacts to Duluth Coffee, Dunkin Donuts and Border foods.

Fivecoate moved and Wilson supported to adjourn the meeting at 6:04 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
