Economic Development Authority Meeting Minutes for January 05, 2005

REGULAR MEETING

MINUTES at January 5, 2005

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Larry Johnson at 5:30pm with the following members present: Jason Goehring, Larry Johnson, Barb Fivecoat, Mary Jacobsen, Allen Nelson and Anthony Zupancich. Also present: Craig J. Wainio.

Heather Rand of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development made a presentation outlining the JOBZ Program.

Jacobsen nominated Johnson for President of the EDA for 2005. Jacobsen moved and Zupancich seconded that Johnson be approved as President. Motion carried unanimously.

Goehring nominated Zupancich for Vice President of the EDA for 2005. Goehring moved and Fivecoat seconded that Zupancich be approved as Vice President. Motion carried unanimously.

Goehring moved and Fivecoat seconded that the treasurer be combined with the Vice President. Motion carried unanimously.

Goehring nominated Jacobsen as interim secretary of the EDA. Goehring moved and Fivecoat seconded that Jacobsen be approved as interim secretary. Motion carried unanimously.

Goehring moved and Irish seconded not to employ or appoint an Executive Director until next meeting and to obtain sample job descriptions. Motion carried unanimously.

Fivecoat moved and Zupancich seconded that the bills be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.

Nelson moved and Zupancich seconded to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
