Regular Meeting Minutes

February 5, 2014

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by Tony Zupancich, at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present:  Mary Jacobsen, Tony Zupancich, Bob Voss, Sue Tuomela, Andrea Wilson and Barb Fivecoate.  Absent members: Jeremy Jesch.  Also present: Executive Director, Craig Wainio and Rod Flannigan.

Jacobson moved and Tuomela seconded to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried 6-0 on a roll call vote.

Wainio reviewed potential development projects with the Board.

Tuomela moved and Wilson seconded to approve the Non-Audit Services letter.  Motion carried unanimously.

Fivecoate moved and Voss support to deny Manney Properties Inc’s request for additional loan money.  Motion carried unanimously.

The Board discussed the Highway 7 Housing Development concepts and would like cost estimates on Number 2, 3, and 4.  Also a subcommittee meeting will be set up for mid March to solicit possible developers to partner with in the project.

Zupancich moved and Fivecoate supported to take lots 11, 12 and 13 in South Grove and convert them into two lots from three with a $20,000 price for each.  Motion carried unanimously.

Voss moved and Fivecoate supported to adjourn the meeting at 6:23.  Motion carried unanimously.
